After 10 years in jail, Shyne has finally been released in prison. For those of you who don’t know, in early March of 2006, from his birthname of Jamal Michael Barrow to Moses Michael Leviy to reflect his recent conversion to Judaism as well as his Jewish heritage. Although I’d love to see Shyne return to prominence in the rap game it seems far fetched. With the changes in hip hop as well as the changes in himself, I just fathom Shyne returning as a hardcore rapper and being successful. Nonetheless, I wish the best for Shyne. I hope Diddy breaks Shyne off some bread for what he went through.

Murder Was the Case-C-murder convicted (overturned)

GRETNA, La. — Rapper Corey “C-Murder” Miller has been convicted of second-degree murder in the 2002 shooting of a fan at a nightclub.

The Louisiana jury reached the 10-2 verdict Tuesday afternoon in its second day of deliberations. Jurors had reached the same verdict earlier in the day, but District Judge Hans Liljeberg ordered them back to the jury room for more deliberation because of a questionable vote. Liljeberg initially said one juror changed her vote just to end deliberations.

Miller faces life in prison for the killing of 16-year-old Steve Thomas.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP’s earlier story is below.

GRETNA, La. (AP) — Jurors in Corey “C-Murder” Miller’s trial have been sent back to the jury room after reaching a guilty verdict that included a questionable vote.

The Louisiana jury announced Tuesday that it found Miller guilty of second-degree murder, but the judge warned the verdict could be invalid. That’s because the judge said one juror changed her vote just to end deliberations.

He told the jurors to go over the decision again and asked the juror to consider whether her vote was in good faith. The jury voted 10-2 for the guilty verdict. At least 10 jurors must agree on a verdict.

The judge also denied a defense motion for a mistrial.

If convicted of second-degree murder, Miller would face life in prison. He’s accused of killing a teen in a nightclub in 2002.

Apparently the guilty verdict was ruled invalid because one  juror was just ready to go home, lol….still I think it’s clear that C-Murder was guilty. I wouldn’t wish that type of jail time on anyone, but based on C-murder’s propensity for shooting up clubs, and the fact that Master P isn’t even supporting him anymore, he deserves whatever he gets.
